The difference between a regular bath and a hydrobath?
A regular bath only delivers water from a shower head. This means that any products have to be rubbed in by hand and then rinsed off. This can take a lot of time and can be difficult to get right into the base of the dog’s coat.
However with a hydrobath, the pump supplies a constant flow of water that is mixed with the products. This means getting maximum coverage of the dog’s coat, allowing the product to work effectively.
What are the benefits of using a hydrobath?
Well…there’s a lot. As we have already mentioned, it’s quicker. In fact, it reduces bathing time considerably. This is great for dogs that don’t particularly like the process. So, if your doggo is one that looks at you in disgust every time you try to give them a wash, they’ll thank you for it!
Quite often when using a regular bath, the product is rinsed off before given the opportunity to really penetrate the coat. However, the constant stream of water and product means that it can really soak in, allowing it to get to work right down to the skin, often where it is needed most.
At the same time, the unique hydro-combing action of the unit delivers a therapeutic hydro massage for your dog; promoting circulation and relieving tired muscles.
As well as being great for dogs, it’s also better for the environment as it uses less water…win win!!
What type of dogs can benefit from a hydrobath?
The short answer is all dogs. But there are some dogs that will definitely benefit even more.
It’s great for dogs with a thick or double coat because it fully penetrates the hair. The deep clean gets right to the skin, removing any hard to shift debris that gets in there… perfect if you have a bit of a doggy adventurer on your hands.
Puppies, nervous dogs and older dogs can really benefit too. For puppies, it’s a great way to get them accustomed to the grooming process. The hydro-massage element really helps to makes it an enjoyable experience.
For older or nervous dogs, we really want to make sure that the process is without stress. With a hydrobath, the bathing time is significantly quicker, meaning they don’t have to be stood in a bath for too long
